Mason Alum Indira Kaur Ahluwalia releases book, Fast Forward to Hope

Indira Kaur Ahluwalia (BA '90) has released a memoir sharing her journey following a stage IV Cancer diagnosis, "Fast Forward to Hope." 

The book recounts the story from fear to hope as she struggled with various challenges, particularly those related to her advanced breast cancer diagnosis. Eventually recovering, this story recounts her journey and the lessons she learned along on her path to that recovery, exploring her life choices and facing her own mortality. 

This is a book about finding one's power, as well as learning the insights and strategies that can be applied to struggles that people face, whether medical or other stumbling blocks placed in their path. 

She is an activist, advisor, coach, and now author. This is her first book.

Ahluwalia was also named the most Distinguished Alumni in 2016.
